Are you a skilled Naval Architect with experience working to design and approve craft in excess of 50m in length? We're working with a market leader in the world of luxury yacht projects that is currently seeking a driver naval architect working towards chartered status. Following a boom in the superyacht world, the requirement for new build projects across Europe is very high. Design offices, shipyards and management brands are all filling up in terms of project availability Working as part of a close knit team, you'll be a point of contact between design office and shipyard, ensuring smooth running of the design aspect of each build within your control. On a day to day basis, you will be responisble for the overall review of works, ensuring they align with class and flag alongside checking through works to ensure they will be suitable for the shipyard team. Furthermore, you'll have gained professional project management experience, both office based and on site, showing a clear level of leadership and organisation throughout every project you work on. In terms of background you'll be degree or Masters educated in Naval Architecture, gaining 5+ years of experience within a large yacht or commerical background, working with steel or aluminium hulled craft. You'll have a strong understanding of large yacht and passenger yacht classification and be able to work closely with the various third parties to ensure your projects all pass scrutiny. In terms of employer, you'll be joining a well established international brand with the potential to grow within your role and gain chartered status.
