Head of Marketing (South West London) Reporting into the VP of Sales and Marketing, the new Head of Marketing will manage the regional marketing teams in the UK, Germany and France. (This is a replacement role as the existing Head of Marketing is moving on within the business). The primary function of the Head of Marketing is to plan, create and execute global marketing strategies, strengthen marketing and communications infrastructure to achieve revenue targets, and support the growth of two established yacht charter brands across Europe. The Head of Marketing is accountable for the performance of marketing activity for the different yacht charter holidays and sailing schools. The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial areas of the business (especially Revenue Management and Multichannel Distribution), while being supported by cross-brand teams in CRM, Digital Marketing and Online Development. You will be measured on your ability to implement a focused brand and marketing plan with a significant focus on digital to deliver agreed sales and profit objectives. The Head of Marketing will develop existing client relationships and market share, expand into new markets, innovate rapidly, and extend the global reach of all products. Responsibilities Be the global brand guardian for your regions, internally promoting, developing and managing both the brand proposition itself as well as how it is communicated to staff and customers. Based on business objectives set by the business and VP of Sales and Marketing, define the marketing strategies and plans for both brands to deliver on revenue growth, customer acquisition, conversion and retention. Recommend allocation of the marketing budget by source market across brand, acquisition and retention activities to deliver on increasing marketing efficiency (ROI) and delivery of commercial targets, leveraging online and offline channels including PPC, SEO, social media, PR, CRM, direct mail and events. Create and execute marketing campaigns in line with the defined strategy to target specific customer groups in multiple marketing channels across both online and offline. Coordinate source markets and base teams to manage local websites and social media channels. Ensure each marketing activity has its own measure or measures that are closely aligned to the business objectives. Be accountable for governing the overall budget throughout the financial year. Report on the success of marketing initiatives on a monthly basis. Using insights from market trends and CRM, drive out changes to the product or service offering in line with customers’ changing requirements. Champion the use of Hubspot CRM and automation across marketing activity both on and offline, to drive targeted and personalised customer experience Leverage resource and services from the Creative, Digital Marketing and Online Development teams – as well as external agencies where appropriate – to advise and deliver on specific initiatives. Recruit, lead and manage a team locally and in multiple source markets to deliver on the above. Essential: • 8+ years’ experience in a senior marketing role, ideally with a global organisation in the travel or marine sectors. • Extended knowledge and understanding of all acquisition and retention marketing techniques from brand strategy and development, digital marketing, brand awareness to direct response media online and offline • Proficiency with analytics, marketing automation and CRM tools such as Hubspot. • Team recruiting and leadership experience • Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task • Delivery to time, budget and quality expectation, across multiple initiatives simultaneously • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Self-starter • Marketing or business related degree • Knowledge of sailing is an advantage • Additional language skills such as French, German and Spanish are also advantageous Location - South West London Salary - Competitive To Apply - send your tailored CV to clare@marineresources.co.uk or call Clare for more information - 02382 024 278
