Head of Content required to lead the brand tone and guidelines for this Luxury Global Yacht Brand. Reporting to the CMO, the Head of Content will drive the content vision and delivery of the business, capturing the attention of target audiences, compelling them to read, watch and engage with the brand. The Head of Content will be responsible for leading on content ideation and managing the creation process across a number of disciplines, including copy, video, photography and graphics. The successful candidate will own the brand tone of voice guidelines and will write brand copy to be used across all marketing channels, with support from copy writing and graphic design as well as the wider marketing team. The role will line manage 2/3 roles, overseeing all brand publishing on owned and third party channels, while providing guidance and direction for all content, copy and social communications. This role covers extensive brand activity both online and offline and the successful candidate must be comfortable switching between both environments. Key Accountabilities Content • Act as guardian across all brand content including website content, social and email – responsible for creating and ensuring highest quality output and brand consistency at all times. • Lead editorial and social content brainstorming, delivering exciting new content ideas that are fit for channel and purpose. • Develop concepts into optimised asset briefs – including videography, photography and digital artwork and communications: • Storyboarding • Briefing and direction of videographers and photographers • Asset requirements (formats, specifications, licensing, etc.) • Communicate content concepts and plans in departmental meetings, to third parties (including agencies) and creative teams, ensuring clear communication, briefing and creative evangelism. • Produce content and copy for homepages and all customer facing emails, working in conjunction with the digital marketing team on the key themes, products and targeting. • Ownership of the content calendar and responsible for ensuring up to date at all times. Copywriting • Lead on editorial and social copywriting. • Own and evolve Tone of Voice guidelines, in line with the broader brand framework and strategic direction. • Create clear, concise, platform and audience-relevant copy to compliment visual assets and communicate key brand, campaign and product messaging. • Responsible for all brand copy produced, ensuring that brand output is consistent and always of the highest standard. Social Media • Responsible for all social content delivery. • Creation of content plans and toolkits. • Oversee all brand publishing (CMS and social media platforms). • Approve all social content calendars. • Work collaboratively with Digital Marketing and eCommerce performance to feed into the development of effective paid media and content amplification strategies that successfully drive business objectives. • Promote editorial content and social media within the business, regularly updating teams on the latest platform, format and trend opportunities. Photography • Lead and art direct on campaign photography and shoots. • Harness existing brand position and executions to drive further evolution of photographic executions The Person • Strong working knowledge of content management, creating bespoke content across all brand communications, including website features, email and brand social platforms. • Experience managing a brand content calendar and managing asset requirements across multiple channels – inc. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest. • Excellent SEO-optimised editorial, digital and social copywriting skills. • Flexible and open to change, with a ‘hands on’ approach. • Expert in digital and social content publishing / CMS. • Experience and understanding of paid media distribution. • Experience in the creation and seeding of strong, targeted online content to drive traffic and sales • Experience of budget management and online marketing reporting. • Proven experience of integrated brand campaigns, partnerships and activations. • Experience working with Ecommerce businesses. • Previous line management experience • Collaborative – ability to build positive relationships held within the team, business and with all partners. • Experience in luxury/retail/yachting background - highly advantageous • Able to maintain confidentiality at all times without exception. • Able to influence without authority and use effective negotiation skills.
