Assistant Project Manager - Yacht Design

An Assistant Project Manager is sought by one of the superyacht industries' leading design studios. With an incredible forward project list and a longstanding history when it comes to project quality and style, the brand has been growing steadily for a number of years, with its South Coast offices taking on some incredibly large and ambitious projects up to and well over 100m. Reporting into the Project Manager, this key position will be crucial to assisting in the overall completion of each project from a design perspective, making sure that the yacht will be completed within a range of different parameters. Duties for the role will include: - Creation of a full project plan in collaboration with the overall build schedule - Regular contact across a variety of internal and external stakeholders - Management of the client relationship, including conflict resolution - Being an effective means of communication with shipyard - Close working with finance to ensure project costs are correctly managed and funds released - Provision of CAD Drawings to shipyard/subcontractor This role will suit an individual with a background in both design and project management who has had exposure to a variety of projects within high end yachts or interior fitout. With a clear eye for detail, you will be well organised and able to manage a range of internal and external partners in order to ensure a smooth running project. The role, whilst UK based will require fairly extensive international travel to stay abreast of project timelines.
