An experienced Account Manager is required to join this successful UK distributor of leading brands for communication, navigation and entertainment for the marine leisure, commercial/military and land mobile sectors. Based in Hampshire and supplying premium satellite communication, navigation, security and entertainment products to the marine leisure market the Account Manager will be expected to open new channels and drive sales for new products and brands. Targeting new market sectors and then jointly developing sales and promotional strategies, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales preferably within a marine environment. The role wlll primarily be based at the HQ in Hampshire but will require attendance at trade shows and exhibitions and up to a third of the working month spent on the road. A vehicle will be provided. Key responsibilities include: • Business development and sales for new products and exclusive brands • Working with existing team to understand new product potential and develop sales strategies • Monitor sales reports to detect trends and take corrective action where necessary Qualifications and skills: The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-managing sales professional proficient in time management with a successful sales history. Previous marine experience or knowledge of the marine industry preferred. A working knowledge of communication and navigational systems would help. Team work is key in this role and all employees support each other in order to ensure the smooth running of the business. This role requires a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to 'muck in'. Location and remuneration: The role will encompass both office and field based activities but the candidate must be South Coast based. The responsibilities of the role can be scaled to more experienced candidates with appropriate remuneration, bonus and benefits.
