Superyacht Sales Manager (Technical product Sales to the Superyacht industry) Our client is a small, world-leading design, development and manufacturing company in the Marine industry utilising advanced LED lighting and communication technology. In a short time they have developed a reputation for market-leading products and been recognised for these achievements in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018 through winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise as well as numerous industry awards. The Superyacht Sales Manager will need to have a good understanding of the global market in order to drive new sales, research and gain knowledge of new opportunities for product development. You will be expected to meet sales targets although the reward for exceeding these is exponential – AND all whilst maintaining the outstanding reputation for customer. Reporting directly to the Owner of the Business the key purpose of your role will be: • Working closely with the Superyacht Manufacturing Facilities across Europe • Maintaining existing accounts; manage sales growth in your territory and take responsibility for the effective introduction of new clients to ensure they do not turn to the competition. • Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements • Report on all opportunities to tender for new business. • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions. • Work with the marketing department to support distributors, dealers, OEMS and other key stakeholders in the sales process with sales and marketing material. • Work closely with R&D, Accounts, Procurement and sales team. • Investigate use of current products into new applications within the industry and identify new opportunities within the existing product offering. Essential • Technical Sales experience in the marine industry • Marine experience – good knowledge of Superyacht industry in Europe with key yards and contacts. • Understand the core products and their application • Customer service experience • Technical knowledge / good understanding of technical products and their environment • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written. • Computer literate (Microsoft office) • Experience with CRM systems Location Europe – expect to travel regularly and organise your own schedule.
