A Sales Manager is required to join an established multi-national Marine Brand to build and grow their UK and Irish business. Their HQ in Germany has been producing (standard and customized) marine transmission solutions along with high speed gearboxes since 1955 for the global commercial marine and leisure marine markets. They are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Sales driven person to head and manage the development of the UK and Ireland business. This Company is in an exciting phase of development to meet the demands of the ever-changing Marine market. Key Responsibilities and Duties: • Grow product sales and develop the after-market to demonstrate year on year growth. • Extensive travel to Clients as well as occasional visits to HQs in Belgium and Germany. • Attendance at International Exhibitions and Conferences. • Responsible for timely annual sales forecasts, budgets and regular reporting of customer visits. • Deliver regular input to the Sales Manager in Benelux HQ as to the status of key Projects and their chance of conversion to orders. • Feedback to Board about market trends and changes as well as competitor activity. Experience and Skills: • Ideally from a Marine background with technical qualifications. • Must be able to demonstrate competence, negotiation skills and abilities in Technical Sales and provide proof of track record. • A knowledge of Companies and contacts within the UK and Irish Marine market is desirable • You must have excellent communication and customer service skills • The ability to work alone and also as part of a Team. • Computer literate -you should be competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. • A Full UK Driving License and current Passport is a requirement as extensive travel in the Territory and sometimes overseas is mandatory. Location - South England Salary - You will receive an excellent package commensurate with your experience.
