Highly successful expanding yacht management & charter company are seeking a Yacht Management & Charter Assistant to be based in their Southend-on-Sea head office. We are looking for a new team member who can bring enthusiasm to this role where you need to be organised, self-motivated and have a keen eye for detail. If it's variety you like, then this is the ideal opportunity for you. Candidates must have a keen interest in the yachting world, preferably with previous professional marine experience. You will report to both the General Manager and Company Directors and will be responsible for assisting in the management of our fleet of yachts. A predominantly administrative and customer service focused role, you will organise yacht registrations, as well as some general office admin and PA work for the managing director plus assisting with the post sale element of yacht charter. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop within our team, gaining experience across all areas of the Yacht Management and Charter industry. RESPONSABILITIES - British & Jersey Registrations - Yacht logistics & fleet management - Communicating with owners, charter clients and suppliers "Front of house" answering the phone and dealing with enquiries - Office management & HR, proactively take responsibility for the office and internal staff admin - PA, booking travel, arranging client meetings etc. - Updating and managing charter client and crew database on CRM system - Assisting with marketing, crew and charter services where needed - Representing the company at boat shows EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED - Excellent telephone manner & strong communicator (verbal & written) - Well presented - Self-motivated, positive and committed attitude - Previous experience in the Yachting Industry (preferred but not essential) - Computer Literate (mac) - Forward thinking - Good attention to detail - Very strong administrative and organisation skills - Great customer service - Knowledge of Yachts and Boats in general. This will be a diverse role, with incoming enquiries and numerous projects underway, no two days will be the same. You will have the opportunity to take ownership and assist with the development of all of our services, making yourself a real asset to the company.
