General manager required for a highly prestigious Superyacht marina in the Mediterranean. We are looking for an experienced general manager for Porto Cervo marina. Having recently been acquired by Island Global Yachting, Porto Cervo marina is arguably the most prestigious Superyacht marina in the Mediterranean with a lot of potential for further improvement to take it to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the facility, ensuring safe, efficient and profitable operations, whilst ensuring compliance with company policies & procedures, and in accordance with all regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): - To manage/represent all the business needs in all matters relating to the business relationship between the owner(s)/representatives of the facility. - Maintain appropriate levels of communication with all customers/guests, staff, owners (or their representatives) and IGY management. - To ensure compliance with company financial processes and procedures, taking remedial action to address any issues. - Ensure all staff members always comply with company policy and take necessary action to rectify any shortcomings. - Produce/manage financial data such as budgets, profit and loss sheets, and financial forecasting and analysis. - Attend various trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and other related industry events to help promote the facility in accordance with specific business and marketing strategies. - Meet established quality standards; ensuring recognized brand standards are installed and maintained throughout the facility. - Develop and execute comprehensive written operating procedures for all areas of the business. - Responsible for the development and delivery of the facility’s financial and marketing strategy/plans. - Ensure Health and Safety policies are maintained and are complaint with appropriate regulations/law. - Support/comply with all Company/Owner initiatives. - All other tasks as directed by direct superiors of the company Certificates and Licenses: - Valid Driver’s License - Certified Marina Manager (CMM) preferred Computer Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel with experience with marina reservation systems preferred. Work Environment: - While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or toxic and caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places with a risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. You will build and maintain relationships with local businesses, clients, and the marina owners. Education/Experience: Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training. Must have experience in the tourism & Hospitably Industry ideally having worked in the marina or shipyard sector. Must be able to speak English and Italian fluently, and have experience of Italian work and social culture. Salary €80-120,000 per annum d.o.e + accommodation + car.
