An experienced Account Manager/Area Sales Manager is required to join a successful team within a well-established UK based distributor of international brands to the marine and residential industries. Being the exclusive distributor for many leading brands including Vimar SPA, Oceanair and BCM Illuminazione and having experienced a sustained period of sales growth, the business is looking for a dedicated and self-motivated sales professional to promote their products to new and existing customers. The Account Manager will have room to flourish and become a prominent member of the sales team. Key responsibilities will include developing product sales throughout a wide range of markets including Boat Builders, Designers, Dealers and Electrical Contractors, UK wide. The role is office based but expect to spend up to 3 days a week on the road. A car will be provided. Maximising the potential of existing accounts, identifying and developing new accounts and markets; Managing larger projects and key decision makers to maintain specification through to final order; Growing revenues and meeting sales targets across all main sectors and product categories; Attending exhibitions and seminars to develop both business and self; Liaising with suppliers and colleagues regarding project commitments. Essential The Account Manager must have experience and contacts within the marine specification market with experience selling similar technical marine products; a proven ability to develop new business; work as part of a team and also be self-motivated; be able to work to strict targets and have a desire to succeed; be technically minded, organised and able to learn and adjust to developing technologies and products. Location – HQ based in Royston, Herts but expect to spend up to 3 days a week on the road. Salary – Competitive.
