A skilled Supplier Quality Engineer is required at leading British Boatbuilder Sunseeker International. With a business turnover that exceeds £250m, the spend on materials and equipment across the business is huge, requiring constant management and evolution in order to ensure that the business remains at the forefront of quality and specification. Under the watchful eye of the Supplier Quality Director, this side of the business has been making huge leaps forward in recent years, both in terms of material and parts acquisition, but also through third part partnerships to supply a wide range of pre-fabricated products. Following a number of key hires within the department, there is now a need to expand the engineering team. Working across the entire business, your role will have three key objectives! To ensure that quality standards across the business are upheld, reviewed and improved, both with internal and external users in mind. With experience working with contacts at all levels, you will demonstrate the following skills and be able to demonstrate them in a Supplier Quality environment: - Sound knowledge of APQP and PPAP - A strong understanding of 8D, Root Cause and 5 Whys - The ability to show clear development with DFMEA and PFMEA - Statistical Analysis using SPC - Six Sigma management technicques. You'll ideally have gained your training in a volume manufacturing organisation such as automotive, marine or aerospace, being able to demonstrate clear leadership qualities and drive your allocated works forward across all areas.
