Quality Technician

We now have exciting opportunities within our Quality Department and are looking to recruit a team of Quality Technicians. You will support the efficient manufacture of our products by understanding and resolving issues, while supporting the Quality Team in auditing and reporting on the businesses compliance to ensure it is robust, fit for purpose and assists our product in being delivered on time and to quality. Responsibilities include: • Drive and follow up all issues within the QIP system for a designated production line. To act as a link between departments to facilitate support and attention for issues. To manage these issues to closure within the QIP system • From the information reviewed daily, prioritise the areas of most significant concern. Analyse their root causes and, with the approval of Quality Management and Business Manager facilitate their resolution. This will involve working with production, manufacturing engineering and quality and may include planning, creating and implementing documentation, systems, processes, strategies or training to ensure that the underlining causes of product failure and customer dissatisfaction are eradicated • Chair the weekly / periodical CIP meeting for their designated area. Integrate the CIP information into the QIP database and facilitate its workflow through to resolution. Attend all CTQ meetings for the same designated line. Support Tier 2 and Teir 1 issues • Undertake inspections of boats under construction in accordance with the critical sign off Process Schedule and support with Quality, functional and dimensional checks as specified • Undertake stage handover audits and ensure all documentation required by the IPC is completed and handed to quality department. Ensure all requirements of the stage handover are fulfilled • Act as a gatekeeper for all IPC documentation produced by the designated line. This paperwork is to be gathered during the build process and kept in the Quality office • Identify and support/develop/train areas that are found to be non-compliant with our Quality System. Support and help maintain compliance in areas that are already complaint • Undertake specifically designated special projects, as approved by the Quality Management specifically focused around quality improvement activities • Support and train new starters in the company's Quality System • Share / leverage best practice with other quality technicians
