Job Category: Design

Luxury yachtbuilder Sunseeker Internataional is seeking to evolve its team with the addition of a Design Projects Co-Ordinator. With a growing range and many new models in the pipeline, the Sunseeker design office is a hive of activity. With close to 40 staff employed across design, engineering and naval architecture there is a massive set of skills and ability to co-ordinate. This has prompted the recruitment of a Design Project Co-Ordinator to oversee each design project as it comes. Joining design discussions from the outset, the DPC will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of each project through the design phase, looking at cost, time and production when it comes to project feasability. Using a series of 'Gateways', you'll be able to set clear objectives across multiple departments in order to ensure that every new design project can be built profitably and that it will fit with time and production requirements. As an individual you will have already held a similar post within either the marine, automotive or aerospace projects, showing clear understanding of managing through the design process. Coming from a design background, you will understand each stage of the design process and be able to pinpoint when each department will need to be involved, mapping this into your schedules. With a Prince2 or similar qualification, you will be adept at planning through projects using MS Project or similar. Working with directors, designers and production managers you'll be able to read and manage situations, showing clear reasoning for any resistance to various departments. Ultimately, your goal will be to guide management to produce stylish and cost effective craft through a series of 'Gateway' plans, showing a clear route through the business at all times. This is a hugely rewarding role with scope to be involved with major decisions at one of Britains largest marine employers. A Market-leading salary and benefits package will be on offer to the right candidate If this sounds like you, then please do Apply, or for further information please contact Ed on 02380 633399
