Gill has grown for over 40 years into an established quality technical apparel brand, serving sailors across the sport from grass roots to professionals, and from Dinghy to Ocean Sailing. We design everything by listening to sailors and their needs, and we test everything both in our lab and on the water to make sure our kit delivers. Distributed around the world to 37 countries and more recently through a global Ecommerce platform. As the key Corporate Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing the brands commercial presence in all corporate and non-retail sectors. Ideally you will have a background in Corporate Apparel sales, bringing knowledge and experience of the sector. We are looking for experience of selling personalised apparel, uniform, and event merchandise to a variety of client types from large corporates to individual teams and events. The brand has an excellent reputation for quality service and customer support, and has made a good start in developing this area providing a solid platform on which to build. Job description: Responsibilities include (but not exclusively): * Developing the brands corporate and non-retail activity * Creating new revenue streams from new and existing client base. * Work with existing team to develop internal forecasting process and stock strategies that support growth. * Work with external branding partners to deliver high quality bespoke branding solutions for our clients * Create a customer base communication calander * Work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop brand strategies and content to further develop the sector and brand presence * Attend various events and exhibitions promoting corporate business development * An ability to communicate with authority and credibility at all levels, be it with large corporates, sailing teams, events or existing marine industry clients. * Input in to product development process to steer and identify new product opportunities * Monthly reporting to be utilised at board level * Input in to annual publications such as catalogues and buyers guide tailored to the corporate sector * Being a strong advocate of the Gill brand Attributes - Essential: * Sales Professional with an ability to communicate at all levels * Experience of Corporate Apparel sales * Ability to manage and own the corporate sales process from end to end in fine detail * Highly proficient in quality client presentations * Successful background in business category development * General IT literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite * Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Integrity and professionalism * Highly organised * Flexible approach to work * Personable and articulate Attributes - Desirable: * Experience with sailing, performance sportswear or lifestyle apparel brands * Contact list covering existing and new areas of opportunity for the brand Operating Environment: * Minimum 37.5 hours a week * A mix of office and off-site work with travel required * Work additional hours as and when required to include some evenings and weekends * Proactively contribute inter-departmental working, challenging working methods for continuous improvement * Training on software and other techniques will be provided as required * Take personal responsibility and accountability. * Behave with integrity and professionalism at all times Measures: * Develop future defined corporate sales strategy for the business * Achievement of sales targets * Regular monthly reporting * Working to fixed deadlines * Ultimately developing stronger presence for the brand in the sector Location: Field Based - UK Travel with occasional European travel To apply: Please send your CV direclty to Gill via the 'apply' button below
