Senior Product Manager/Technical Support Manager

A Senior Product Manager is required to join an Award Winning Business supplying the Global Superyacht Industry with custom solutions. This is a senior role for someone with extensive product management experience in supplying the luxury marine leisure market. Exceptional communication and management skills will be required on multiple levels to oversee the continued successful delivery of bespoke custom solutions to VIP customers. The ideal candidate will be a confident Ambassador for a luxury brand co-ordinating multiple teams. Based near Chichester, the Senior Product Manager will report directly to the MD and help provide leadership in all areas relating to the manufacturing of bespoke products. Purpose • To provide leadership in all areas relating to the manufacturing of bespoke products to the Superyacht Industry. • To provide support to the Sales Order Processing Team to ensure that products are specified precisely and the correct documentation is provided to Manufacturing. • To provide support to customers who are designing new products and/or are having difficulty with new or existing products. • To analyze production yields and customer returns and identify opportunities for improvement. • To lead the Line Engineers and Technicians and to support the Manufacturing Managers/Supervisors. • Coordinate with Design and Sales and Marketing to ensure an up to date product/technology roadmap exist and plan for its implementation. Main Responsibilities • Manages product line direction through ongoing assessment of current products. • Ensure new product introductions meet their targets. • Input to new product requirements • Co-ordinate and direct manufacturing projects, setting goals and objectives. • Ensure that BOM and Cost Models are accurate • Devise cost reduction programmes • Manage small Team of Engineers and ensure that they have Goals, Objectives and development plans. • To flow down Operational departmental goals and ensure that these are met. • Direct, review and approve product design changes. • Perform administration tasks such as report writing, reviews and recruitment. • Ensure that configurators are up to date and fit for purpose. • Ensure that design guidelines are maintained and developed as necessary. • To provide technical support to SOP and Sales and Marketing. • Manage products through their development cycle, including obsolescence.
