Retail Business Development Manager A Retail Business Development Manager is required to join a leading global supplier to the Marine and RV outdoor leisure industry. The business is based in Dorset although the role will be predominantly field- based and the business development manager will be responsible for increasing sales and range building with existing retail customers. The successful candidate will introduce new customers and broaden awareness of the company and the entire product range within the sector. Formulating and then executing a development plan you will concentrate mainly on the growth of retail sales of coolboxes, mini fridges, cool bags and other related products. Essential • 3-5 years Proven track record and a comprehensive knowledge with executive sales experience, within the retail sector and operators within it, (national multiples, specialist multiples, supermarkets, service stations, wholesalers and commissioned agents). • Experience in the sale of products within the retail sector, preferred knowledge of key manufacturers and contacts within these businesses an advantage. • Experience in contract negotiation. • Have a clear understanding of the most effective routes to market and increase sales. • Proven ability to work independently to deliver on specific objectives • Knowledge of the most effective media models and exhibitions to attract new customers. • A proven track record in changing prospective customers into customers and advocates of the brand. • Strong IT skills • Exceptional numeric and organisational skills • Have a calm consultative sales approach Location – Dorset (+ remote), high percentage of travel as this is a field-based role.
