The role of the Business Development Manager for the Commercial & Passenger Vehicles/After Market (CPV/AM) is to increase sales and range build with existing vehicle manufacturers and converters, CPV parts distributors. Key Responsibilities • Introduce new CPV customers and broaden customers’ awareness of the product range within the entire sector. • Further develop the customer base in line with budget forecasts. • Introduce new distributors and dealers for the range or truck parts. • Work collaboratively to support the overall goals of the business. Essential • A proven track record of technical sales within the automotive and truck aftermarket and within the special vehicle manufacturing sector (builders of specific vehicles such as emergency services, highway maintenance, construction, heavy plant, mobile broadcast, race trucks, equestrian trucks, catering and special events vehicles). • Knowledge of key manufacturers and contacts within these businesses is an advantage. • Experience in contract negotiation. • A clear understanding of effective routes to market to increase sales of bespoke and technical products for car and truck distributors, parts retailers, and special vehicle manufacturers. • Computer literate • Knowledge of the most effective media models and exhibitions to attract new customers. • A proven track record in customer conversion and retention. • Able to work on own initiative working remotely but as part of a team. • Exceptional numeric and organisational skills • A calm consultative sales approach Salary Basic of c£35k with a max of 30% of salary bonus.
