The Company: Sea-Kit International is a World-Class provider of High Technology Solutions to the Maritime and Research industries, aiming to open new fields and classes of technology to solve problems of the future, today. We are one of the first designer and builder of autonomous vessels and have developed the USV Sea-Kit™ which was an entry in the Ocean Discovery XPrize, representing the highly respected hydrography organisation GEBCO. We are now planning to use the momentum of our recent hugely successful demonstration in the XPrize finals in Greece to expand the company by conducting further trails and building a fleet of unmanned vessels. Job Description: We require a multi-skilled skipper/technician with good experience at sea and ashore to assist with our operations both in the UK and abroad. They will be required to undertake maintenance and assembly tasks, help with organising and managing logistics, manage scheduling, oversee contractor work and skipper either the chase vessel (43ft catamaran) or the autonomous vessel from our control centre (currently based in Essex but potential to be temporarily relocated world-wide). Requirements: * Minimum Yachtmaster Offshore (commercially endorsed) * Full UK Driving License * Good mechanical maintenance skills & knowledge * They will be practical, efficient & resourceful * Positive attitude and good work ethic * Experience managing people * Genuine interest in maritime autonomy and future technologies * Willing to travel as required by the company * Based within commutable distance to our office in Tollesbury, Essex.
